Whether you are an avid yogi, regular runner, swimmer, or frequent gym goer, being an athlete can take its toll on the skin. The following tips will help prevent the conditions that rob you from that post workout glow.
1. Remove makeup before working out
As our body temperature rises, our pores open and soften, impairing the main barrier the skin provides- which makes it very easy for makeup to find its way deep down into our pores, causing clogging and acne. Use a gentle cream cleanser that does not strip your skin’s natural oils prior to working out because you will be cleansing again after your workout. Cleansing will help prevent papules, pustules, comedones and even possible infections that can result from working out with unclean skin.
2. Cleanse skin directly after working out
