Evening Skin Care Ritual for Spring

Setting some time aside before bed to unwind with some gentle yoga or meditation and some journaling followed by a candle lit skin care ritual will leave you relaxed, refreshed, and ready to get some good beauty sleep.

If you are in the mood for some extended self-care time, I included a couple of extra rejuvenating options to add your skincare ritual.

Evening Skin Care Ritual for Spring

Option 1: Botanical Steam

Start by boiling some water for your botanical steam. Prepare a large bowl with a few of your favorite herbs. I love lavender, rosemary, and lemon for spring. You can even add a couple of drops of essential oils if you’d like. Drape a large towel over your head as you hover your face over the bowl of herbal steamy water for 5-10 minutes while your skin absorbs the nutrients from the botanicals and helps your skin care penetrate better. You can take this time to do a guided or non-guided meditation or simply some deep breaths while being in the present moment

Option 2: Cold Therapy: Cold Towels/ Gua Sha and Rose Quartz Roller

Prep a small bowl with ice water, a soft facecloth, and your rose quartz roller and gua sha tools.

1. Cleanse

Cleanse your skin with the Hydra-Bright AHA Cleanser for a brightening and radiant effect using a hydrating blend of vegan lactic acid, moringa seed extract and antioxidants.

For acne prone skin types: cleanse with Purifying Gel Cleanser

*You won’t need to exfoliate if you followed last week’s morning skincare ritual blog.

2. Mask (combine with option 1: botanical steam)

For spring, we love the Hydra-Bright Glo Mask mixed with the Soothing Gel Mask for a radiance boost with a calming approach- which is why we chose this refreshing mask cocktail for our Spring Awakening Facial. Lactic acid and vitamin E brighten and smooth skin while seasonal skin changes are soothed by hydrating and replenishing the skin’s moisture barrier with a healing blend of gotu kola extract and Indian senna, nourishing and cooling cucumber.

3. Cold Therapy Mask Removal

Apply the cold face cloth using compressions, then remove your mask and perform your gua sha and rose quartz roller.

4. Tone

Tone with Phyto-Calm Flower Mist (for calming and hydrating)  or HA Revive Hyaluronic Mist (for ageless hydration).

For acne prone skin types: Tone with Phyto-Calm Flower Mist

5. Apply a serum

GlyPro Retinol Drops are my favorite for night time and address pretty much every skin concern- such as aging, acne, large pores, and texture.

6.  Apply an eye cream

We love the C-Shield Eye Restore Hydrator to nourish with vitamins, antioxidants, and peptides to reduce signs of aging, puffiness, and dark circles.

7. Apply a heavier moisturizer

The Bio Renew EGF Cream is a wonderful rich, reparative night cream. This is a transformative, age-defying face cream that firms, smooths, and hydrates with vegan epidermal growth factor peptides and phyto-retinol.

For acne prone skin types: apply the Oil- Free Moisturizer

Have a peaceful, refreshed night’s sleep!
