When I started my career in the spa industry I was 18 years old. I worked at a small salon on Cape Cod to get my feet wet and within a year moved to an upscale spa in Boston on the bustling Boylston St. It was during my tenure at this spa that I began my journey in spa education. I took classes from the experts in the industry on the most effective treatments on the skin care market.
This is when I began my classes in Ayurveda. Throughout the 10 years in Boston I continued to learn and implement the Ayurvedic philosophy into my treatments.
Ayurveda is one of the oldest holistic healing systems in the world, developed in India more that 5,000 years ago. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on the balance between mind, body and spirit. The goal is to prevent disease and imbalance before it begins.
