
Cheers to a New Year! (or whenever you are reading this!) 2019 was quite a great year for me personally and professionally and I watched my family, friends and clients grow and flourish in amazing ways, as I've routed them all along the way.
After a little (much enjoyed) indulging during the holidays, I'm ready to kick off 2020 getting back on track focusing on some good health and wellness, the launchpad for the growth goals I have both in my personal life and business.
First things first, I'm starting with a nice purge. Out with the old and in with the new: a Juice Cleanse that will detoxify and nourish with much needed nutrients.
There has been some controversy about Juice Cleanses, due to the fact that you are consuming less meat derived protein and less carbohydrates during the 3 days- which initially can provide you less energy.
However, the goal of a Juice Cleanse is to give your body ultimate nutrient absorption straight through the blood stream without the solids that stimulate digestion. When the body is digesting foods it is not able to heal and repair itself. This is also why Fasting is popular.

Tips for your Juice Cleanse
1. Cut out coffee, replace with matcha green tea or regular green tea.
2. Drink more water to keep your cells hydrated and eliminate false hunger. Drinking water is also important because it transports nutrients to your cells and helps eliminate toxins.
3. Be prepared to not feel great the first day or so. You may have feelings of “hangriness”, headaches, foggy, low energy- but remember, you can get through it and you will be amazed at how much better you will feel following the cleanse.
4. Eat very clean for 4 days following the cleanse. Try to consume whole foods, raw fruits and vegetables, and whole grains. Eliminate processed foods, coffee and sugar as much as possible.
3 Day Juice Cleanse
How to do it:
For 3 days consume 6, 18oz juices per day, eliminating any additional foods.

Juicing Recipes:
DETOX
Ingredients
• 1 cup kale or romaine
• 1 cucumber
• 1 bunch dandelion greens (or sub collard greens)
• 1/4 lemon
• 1–2 garlic cloves, peeled
• 1/2 inch ginger root
Directions
1. Wash and Prepare produce by cutting into pieces that will fit in the top of the juicer.
2. Add one ingredient to the juicer at a time.
3. Pour the juice into a glass and drink immediately, or refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
ENERGIZE
Ingredients
• 1 beetroot, with greens removed
• 2 carrots, with greens removed
• 2 celery stalks
• 2 plum tomatoes
Directions
1. Wash and Prepare produce by cutting into pieces that are small enough to fit in the top of the juicer.
2. Add one ingredient to the juicer at a time.
3. Pour the juice into a glass and drink immediately, or refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
IMMUNIZE
Ingredients
• 1/2 small pineapple, peeled and cored
• 1 large orange, peeled
• 2 large carrots, with greens removed
• 1/2 inch ginger root
• 1/2 lemon
Directions
1. Wash and Prepare produce by cutting into pieces that are small enough to fit in the top of the juicer.
2. Add one ingredient to the juicer at a time.
3. Pour the juice into a glass and drink immediately, or refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
REVITALIZE
Ingredients
• 1 cup spinach or kale
• 2 celery stalks
• 1/2 large cucumber
• 1 apple, cored
• 1 handful of parsley
• 1/4 lime
• 1/4 lemon
Directions
1. Wash and Prepare produce by cutting into pieces that are small enough to fit in the top of the juicer.
2. Add one ingredient to the juicer at a time.
3. Pour the juice into a glass and drink immediately, or refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
HYDRATE
Ingredients
• 1 cup romaine lettuce
• 1 apple, cored
• 2 cucumbers
• 1/4 lemon
Directions
1. Wash and Prepare produce by cutting into pieces that are small enough to fit in the top of the juicer.
2. Add one ingredient to the juicer at a time.
3. Pour the juice into a glass and drink immediately, or refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
